Learn About MBTI® Certification
Administering the MBTI® assessment requires MBTI Certification
The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® instrument is administered over 2.5 million times a year and is considered the most widely used personality assessment of its kind.
This highly respected tool is based on well-researched and validated personality theory with proven applications in a variety of areas, including:
- Personal growth and development
- Organizational development
- Management consulting
- Individual work and life coaching
- Leadership development and team building
- Counseling for individuals and families
The MBTI instrument is a restricted assessment, meaning it can only be purchased and used by those who meet certain requirements. Program participants who successfully complete an MBTI® Certification Program satisfy these requirements.
The MBTI® Certification Program consists of a four-day workshop that explains psychological type theory, gives examples of how type is used by both individuals and organizations, and teaches participants how to deliver feedback for the MBTI® Step I (Form M) and MBTI® Step II (Form Q) instruments.
The following organizations in the United States are authorized by the publisher of the MBTI instrument, The Myers-Briggs Company, to publicly offer the MBTI® Certification Program:
